Kansas 2008 Licenses Available Dec. 17
Kansas Dept. of WIldlife and Parks

Posted on: 12/03/07 [1 Comment]

Holiday bargain days begin Dec. 17 at the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks (KDWP). On that date, all 2008 KDWP licenses, permits, and other issues go on sale and will be valid for the remainder of 2007 and all of 2008, adding more than two weeks to their value. This includes hunting, fishing, and park licenses and permits. In addition, park annual vehicle entrance permits are priced at the off-season value, providing even greater savings.

Licenses and permits for 2008 can be purchased online after midnight on Dec. 17 from the KDWP website, www.kdwp.state.ks.us. They may also be purchased from any KDWP office or license vendor. For those hunters going out early Dec. 17, some vendors are open 24 hours a day, offering another alternative to online purchases. (Hunters should be aware that big game permits and tags are not valid until the day after purchase.)

For more information, go to the KDWP website or phone 620-672-5911.

Saskatchewan Black Bear Bowhunt
Back in 1996, my Uncle Ron Schira, noticed that I was very interested in hunting. I was 14 soon to be 15 years old. I had hunted with rifles and shotguns since I was 12 with my dad. But never with a bow. I found it amazing that most of the trophies hanging in my uncles houses were taken at under 25 yards with a bow. I convinced my mother to buy me a bow with some money my grandmother had given us for Christmas.
