Danner introduces the new Blade GTX Series that perform like no other boot. Providing ultimate stability and support, the Blade is built for expert hunters who aren't afraid of rugged terrain.

The new Blade GTX Series is lighter, faster and stronger, taking performance to the next level. The Blade GTX is built on Danner's new TFX Lite outsole for all day comfort and durability. Danner's TERRA FORCE X system has been tried and true with its patented lightweight and durable midsole and shank system. The TFX Lite outsole is developed with low lugs, ideally suited for stalking conditions. Featuring an EVA midsole, the Blade GTX provides shock absorption and cushioning so that the expert hunter never has to worry about their feet.

Danner believes in footwear developed for ultimate performance. The Blade GTX Series features a waterproof and breathable GORE-TEX liner to ensure that feet stay dry no matter the conditions. The Blade GTX is built to take the expert hunter through any environment with comfort in mind.

The Blade Series is the beginning of a great thing. This full-grain leather and Cordura boot is built to tackle any environment. The Blade GTX Series is available in two Mossy Oak styles, a 7-inch style with Mossy Oak Brush (suggested retail $139.95) and an 8.5-inch style with 400 G. Thinsulate Ultra Insulation featuring new Mossy Oak Treestand (suggested retail $159.95).

The new Treestand pattern utilizes the same silhouette-altering technology found in all the Mossy Oak patterns. It was designed specifically for hunting from an elevated position, effectively erasing the outline of an elevated hunter among the bare limbs of a late fall tree. The Series is available in July for the fall 2008 season in extended men's sizes 7-16D, 8-13EE (with half sizes to 12).

Aquatic Tactics for Spring Time Gobblers
Spring time can be a very frustrating time for a college student in Bozeman Montana. Choosing between fishing, hunting, hiking, and spring time skiing can be a really difficult decision. This weekend I opted to head east to hunt down some Merriam turkeys. I had recently gotten private property permission from a friend at school to hunt his family ranch along the Yellowstone River. I was accompanied by my two hunting buddies Keith and George.
