Browning Expands T-Bolt Line for Lefties
Browning

Browning has added twelve new offerings to their T-Bolt rimfire rifle line that are sure to please left-hand shooters. All the new models incorporate the basic design of the T-Bolt rifle but with the bolt on the left side to accommodate those who shoot left handed.

Initially introduced in 1965 and discontinued in 1975, the T-Bolt was once again reintroduced in 2006 in right-hand models only. With improvements to the design including materials and manufacturing methods, now lefties can own the smoothest little system on the market. The new T-Bolt is more accurate, reliable, lighter and smoother operating than ever.

The T-Bolts straight-pull bolt cycles fast and locks up solid in the receiver that is machined from steel barstock. Receivers are drilled and tapped for scope mounts. Barrels are free floated and have semi-match chambers and recessed crowns. The three lever trigger design combined with a short travel firing gives a crisp break, quick lock time, and no travel take up. The trigger pull weight is adjustable with an external screw. A top tang safety is thumb operated without changing from a shooting grip.

There are four new left-hand models in each caliber; .22 long rifle, .22 Winchester Magnum and .17 HMR.

The Sporter Model comes with a satin finish checkered walnut stock and blued receiver and medium sporter barrel. Suggested retail price is $689.00 for the .22 long rifle model and $719.00 for the .22 Win Magnum and .17 HMR guns.

The Composite Model features a black composite stock, textured gripping surface, matte black finish and a spare magazine storage compartment. The barrel and receiver have a blued finish. Suggested retail price is the same as the Sporter models.

The T-Bolt Target/Varmint Model also uses a heavy target barrel. This model has a satin finish checkered walnut stock with a Monte Carlo comb and wide fore-end. Suggested retail price for the .22 long rifle model is $719.00 and $729.00 for the .22 Winchester Magnum and .17 HMR guns.

The T-Bolt Composite Target/Varmint Model comes with a heavy target barrel. It has the same composite stock as the Composite model. Suggested retail price for the .22 long rifle model is $719.00 and $729.00 for the .22 Winchester Magnum and .17 HMR guns.

Oregon Coast Blacktail Deer Hunt
This is a picture of the blacktail buck I killed last year (2008) in the Alsea unit of West Oregon during the rifle season. I was hunting with my friends on a Sunday morning and this buck jumped up from some vine maple with 2 other large bucks and at least 3 does who were all bedded in an 8 year old clear cut. I managed to pick him out in the confusion of deer running every which way and got one shot into him.
