Barren-ground Caribou Survey Results Released 10/06/05

Hunters Charged Under Endangered Species Act 12/16/04
In provincial court in Happy Valley-Goose Bay on Thursday, November 18, 2004, three hunters from Quebec were convicted of killing Red Wine Woodland Caribou - a threatened species under the Endangered Species Act. The charges result from the incident of April 10, 2003, at which time conservation officers with the Department of Natural Resources seized 14 animals. [Comments?]

Thirty-two Charges Filed For Illegal Caribou Killing 01/16/03
Conservation officers with the Department of Forest Resources and Agrifoods have laid a total of 32 charges against four individuals from Badger as a result of alleged violations to the Wildlife Act. The charges include illegal killing of caribou, illegal possession of caribou, illegal possession of a firearm and wilfully allowing big game to spoil.

New York Turkey Hunt Success
This turkey I shot on the on the fourth day, of my first spring turkey season in New York. I was set up on a good a roosted tom, but little did I know that he had about 10 or 20 hens with him. So as soon as he hit the ground I did a few soft yelps and clucks but he paid no attention to me, he just followed the hens out of of gun range.
