Three Men Convicted of Illegal Hunting 10/28/05

Guide Exam to be Administered by Government Agents 05/27/05
As of June 1, guide outfitter and angling guide exams will be administered entirely by government agents throughout British Columbia. Exam applicants will now have more direct and efficient access to the entire exam process, through any of the 59 government agent offices provincewide, and will no longer have to contact the Ministry of Water, Land and Air Protection’s Fish and Wildlife Recreation and Allocation Branch in Victoria as part of the process. Cougar Hunting Season Closes 02/02/05

Public Assistance Requested to Solve Elk Shootings 10/28/04
The Conservation Officer Service is requesting the public’s assistance in determining who shot and left two five point Bull Elk in the Cranbrook area. One elk was shot and left at the south end of the city irrigation fields on the morning of Oct. 19. The other elk was shot, covered with branches and left on Peavine Ridge Road on the morning of Oct. 20.

Moose Management Collaboration 10/15/04
The Province and the Tsilhqot’in Council of Chiefs are working towards an agreement for the collaborative management of moose and other wildlife in the Chilcotin region. In addition to joint game checks, which will survey hunters and their harvested game, First Nations have expressed an interest in providing information to the Regional Hunter Advisory Committee.
