The Conservation Officer Service is requesting the public’s assistance in determining who shot and left two five point Bull Elk in the Cranbrook area.

One elk was shot and left at the south end of the city irrigation fields on the morning of Oct. 19. The other elk was shot, covered with branches and left on Peavine Ridge Road on the morning of Oct. 20.

A reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to conviction of those responsible is available through the B.C. Wildlife Federation.

Information on this and other violations should be reported through the toll-free 24-hour Conservation Officer Service Observe, Record and Report line at 1-800 663 WILD (9453).

Rhode Island Deer Hunt
My father has been teaching me how to hunt since I was little. Already this season he had taken 2 bucks. The first one he took on Saturday opening day, with his muzzleloader and the second he took on Monday, with his bow. He had been teasing me all week that I was going to be eating pasta while he chomped down on tasty venison. Well that was about to change.
