British Columbia Limited Entry Hunts
British Columbia Fish and Wildlife Branch

Posted on: 05/11/07 [Comments?]

A synopsis of this year's Limited Entry Hunt (LEH) regulations is now available online, and will soon be available in its printed form at Service BC offices and stores where hunting licences are sold, Environment Minister Barry Penner announced.

The LEH is a random draw system that allocates hunting opportunities to B.C. residents. This system limits the number of hunters and the number of animals harvested in specific areas.

Limited Entry Hunt seasons are adjusted periodically to address conservation concerns or increase hunting opportunities where conservation interests allow.

All hunters are encouraged to carefully read the synopsis for changes to this year's LEH. Major changes are highlighted in blue.

The electronic version is available at www.env.gov.bc.ca/fw/wild/resident/leh.htm on the ministry's website.

Last year, the ministry received 153,666 applications for 31,916 available authorizations to hunt nine species of game animal.

The Conservation Officer Service encourages the public to Report All Poachers and Polluters (RAPP) by calling the 24-hour hotline toll free at 1-877-952-7277 (RAPP), #7277 on the TELUS Mobility Network or by visiting the RAPP website at www.rapp.bc.ca

Piebald 8 Point Georgia Buck
My father Johnny Sr took this 8 point piebald buck in Hall County Georgia on 12-21-07. I thought it was a once in a life time buck, for a man who is living with so many disabilities. It was taken with a ten point crossbow.
