Voice your opinions about the 2008 spring turkey hunting regulations at one of 11 public meetings to be held around the state. The meetings will be a part of the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission's annual turkey regulations process. You'll have the opportunity to make comments and proposals for the 2008 spring turkey hunting season.

Comments may be either verbal or written. Written comments may be submitted at any of the meetings or mailed by Sept. 30 to the AGFC, attn: Spring Turkey Hunting Regulations Proposals, 2 Natural Resources Drive, Little Rock, AR 72205.

Don’t Sell the Farm in the Rockies
At fourteen thousand feet we watched the elk heard move across the meadow and bed down at the edge of a rocky outcropping. After a long and arduous hike we position ourselves above, and a few hundred yards away from the biggest bull elk in the sleeping herd. We waited diligently for two hours. Finally, the bull stood up and turned for a nice broad side shot. The shot rang out in the thin mountain air shattering the silence and scattering the elk herd into the spruce trees.
