Five lucky hunters from locations across Alberta won in the raffle for prizes given as a thanks for submitting deer heads to the 2005 CWD surveillance testing program. A total of 1356 hunters entered their names in the draw. Of the 5 winners, 4 submitted more than 1 head. Prizes included a framed wildlife print donated by Alberta Fish and Game Association, a spotting scope donated by Wholesale Sports, Edmonton, as well as a rifle scope, a rangefinder and a pair of binoculars provided the Fish and Wildlife Division of Alberta Sustainable Resource Development. Our "thanks" to all those who submitted heads for CWD testing.
