The Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks will conduct four public meetings in Southeast Kansas on February 8 and 9 to discuss deer and other wildlife management issues, including the newly formed Southeast Kansas Quail Working Group. The meetings will be hosted by Wildlife and Parks Secretary Mike Hayden and State Senator Derek Schmidt (R-Independence).
The schedule for the public meetings is as follows:
Friday, February 8
1:30 p.m. -- Iola, North Community Building, 505 North Buckeye
7:00 p.m. -- Fredonia, Wilson County Courthouse
Saturday, February 9
7:00 a.m. -- Independence, 4-H Building, Riverside Park
11:00 a.m. -- Sedan, High School Auditorium, 416 East Elm
