November deer season in Saskatchewan can be one of the greatest whitetail hunts in North America. The bucks are in full rut, the does have the feed bags on and the action is everywhere. But these deer are smart so some of my best advise is don’t leave any stone unturned.
Last year the weather was warm and there wasn’t much movement during the daylight hours so this forced us to do a lot more walking than normal for November. Discovering the bucks hiding in the smallest of places, weed patches, small slough bottoms, tall grass between fields everywhere you would walk right by and not take a second look.
So when the deer seem to be gone start checking the little areas that you may normally pass up, there just might be a buck of a lifetime in there. Walk slow and be ready for that buck to bust out on you!
I have attached a video of how tight some deer will hold even if they know your coming!
