Youth Outdoor Expo September 23
The 5th annual Youth Outdoor Expo and Family Field Day Event will be held on Sunday, September 23 from 9 AM to 3:30 PM on the grounds of the Hamilton Rod and Gun Club in Sturbridge. Sponsored by the Club, MassWildlife, the Environmental Police, New England Native American Institute and FAWNS (Facts About Wildlife and Nature Society), the Expo features a full day of fun with outdoor skills, nature, art and animals. Admission is FREE. Food for everyone under age 17 is FREE. Kids will receive a goodie bag and participate in a youth raffle, FREE. Supervision is provided for all hands-on activities including archery, drawing and painting, target shooting, fishing skills, building a bat house, and more! An authentic New England Pioneer Encampment, complete with supervised, hands-on, tomahawk throw and a Native American Pow Wow will be featured. Demonstrations will be conducted with live birds of prey, snakes and turtles and working dogs. No advanced registration required. Register on site the morning of the event.
Directions: MassPike to Exit 9 in Sturbridge. From the interchange take Route 20 West and take first right onto New Boston Road. Follow for 2.5 miles to Hamilton Road on your left. Turn left on Hamilton Road and follow signs to the Club on your right. Bring the family and enjoy the day!
