The National Rifle Association is accepting applications from high school sophomores and juniors across the country for the National Youth Education Summit (Y.E.S.) from June 25 to July 1, 2012 in Washington, DC.

Special Upstate youth deer hunts were held during the latter part of 2011, and 54 young hunters took part, many of them on their first deer hunt.

South Carolina Youth Deer Hunt Day Scheduled Statewide Saturday, Jan. 7

Jan. 7 is scheduled for Youth Hunting Day where youth 17 years of age and under can hunt deer as long as they are accompanied by a licensed adult 21 years or older. Only the youth may take or attempt to take game and license requirements are waived for the youth hunter.

Get Your Youth Hunting Memories Contest Entries in by Dec. 31 to Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department

The Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department is asking young hunters to get their entries for the 2011 Youth Hunting Memories Contest in by the December 31 deadline. Young hunters need only submit a short essay, or artwork, describing their time in the field on a hunt.

Second Youth Waterfowl Hunting Day Set for Dec. 3 in Delaware

This Saturday, Dec. 3, the Delaware Division of Fish and Wildlife has announced the season’s second statewide waterfowl hunting day for youth hunters ages 10 to 15 on both public and private lands. To encourage youth hunting, the Division also is waiving blind fees for youth using Division-owned waterfowl blinds.

Registration for Baldwin County, Alabama Youth Dove Hunt Now Open
