West Virginia Stamps for Additional Deer
Class RM and Class RRM stamps may be used to take one additional muzzleloader deer in the muzzleloader season in all counties having a muzzleloader season.

The Wildlife Resources Section of the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources is sponsoring a Beyond BOW Women's Deer Hunt, December 1-3, 2007 in Lewis County. The registration fee is $50. Lodging will be provided in Vandalia, West Virginia.
West Virginia Furbearers Must be Tagged
Trappers harvesting beaver and fisher are reminded they must present the whole animal or pelt to a game checking station or DNR representative within 30 days after the close of the respective season.
West Virginia Big Buck Contest Begins Oct. 13th
The West Virginia Division of Natural Resources, the West Virginia Izaak Walton League, and the West Virginia Bowhunters Association are again sponsoring the Big Buck Contest for deer taken between October 13 and December 31, 2007.
West Virginia Coyote Hunting Seminars
Nationally-recognized predator hunter Tom Bechdel of Cambridge Springs, Pennsylvania, will return for the tenth consecutive year to present his popular coyote hunting seminars during the 2007 West Virginia Celebration of National Hunting and Fishing Days, to be held at Stonewall Jackson Lake State Park in Lewis County (Interstate 79 exit 91) September 22nd and 23rd.

A controlled deer hunt will be held on Blennerhassett Island on Nov. 1 - 3 this fall.

The National Radio Astronomy Observatory (NRAO) in Green Bank, West Virginia, has announced that applications are now available and are being accepted for the special resident-only controlled 2007 deer hunt at the NRAO site.

The West Virginia Wildlife Federation and the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources are seeking hunters who own trophy white-tailed bucks that were legally taken in West Virginia with either bow or gun and have a Pope and Young or Boone and Crockett net score of 150 or greater.
