Turkey Hunting Clinics Offered
People interested in learning more about turkey hunting can attend any of a number of free turkey hunter education clinics that will be held throughout the state February through April.
Turkey clinic information will be available on the DNR Web site and at DNR Service Centers or by calling (608) 261-8458. For the latest additions or changes in the schedule please refer to the DNR Web site.
Clinics are designed to help hunters brush-up on theirskills and learn new techniques for hunting the elusive wild turkey. Clinics typically last between 2.5-3 hours, and cover topics such as turkey biology and behavior, hunting methods, regulations, and hunter/landowner ethics.
Hunters can also look forward to in-depth hunting techniques, scoring trophy birds, and a few ideas on preparing a trophy once they get it home. Advance registration is not required.
