Spring Turkey Hunting Workshop Set for March 31
The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, in partnership with the National Wild Turkey Federation and the Lancaster County Extension Office, will host a Spring Turkey Hunting Workshop, 6:30 - 9:30 p.m., March 31, at the Lancaster County Extension Office, 444 Cherry Creek Rd.
Outdoor Education Specialist Jeff Rawlinson said the workshop is for novice hunters who wish to gain more knowledge of wild turkey habitat and biology, technical information, gear, and how to put these aspects together to enhance their success in the woods. Specifics such as shot shell selection, shotgun patterning, and how to hunt the various stages of the spring breeding season will be covered by Game and Parks professionals.
