Rhode Island Hunting Regulations Now Set for 2010-11 Seasons The Department of Environmental Management announces the hunting regulations for the 2010-2011 seasons. There are several changes this year regarding deer hunting and the development of deer management zones. The DEM remains committed to managing the growing deer population by focusing on the harvest of female deer and encouraging private land hunting. Two new areas have opened up for archery deer hunting, Tunk Hill in the Scituate Reservoir property and Snake Den State Park in Johnston. Most of the other changes are strictly date changes reflecting the calendar shift. |
