The New Hampshire Fish and Game Department will hold a public hearing to consider several proposed state rule changes regarding wildlife and wildlife management.

The hearing will be held on Tuesday, March 4, 2003, at 6:30 p.m., at the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department Headquarters at 2 Hazen Drive in Concord.

Several rule changes are up for readoption; these include various rules affecting dog training, rails and gallinules, furbearers and coyotes.

Additional rule changes up for consideration affect wildlife depredation rules for public airports; waterfowl hunting on one portion of the Piscataqua River; and registration forms for bear hunters.

One new rule being considered would institute special spring youth hunting days for wild turkey in New Hampshire. The youth turkey hunt would be modeled after the successful Youth Deer Hunt weekend in the fall.
