Kansas Firearm Antelope Application Deadline is June 8

The Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism (KDWPT) is accepting applications for the resident firearm and muzzleloader antelope permit drawing. Applications may be submitted online through the KDWPT website, ksoutdoors.com. Click “License/Permits” in the upper right-hand corner of the page to begin the process. Colorado PWC Hunt License Numbers for 2012

The Colorado Parks and Wildlife Commission approved big game hunting license numbers on Thursday for the upcoming fall hunting seasons. Agency staff utilized herd population estimates to recommend reductions in license numbers for mule deer, elk and pronghorn while recommending increases in licenses to manage growing populations of moose and black bears. According to a 2008 study, big game hunting in Colorado provides more than $430 million per year in economic impact to the state and supports 4,660 jobs in the state.

Idaho Application Period for Controlled Hunts Opens May 1

The application period for this fall's deer, elk, pronghorn, fall black bear and fall turkey controlled hunts starts Tuesday, May 1, and runs through June 5.

Hunters may apply for controlled hunts at any hunting and fishing license vendor, Fish and Game office; with a credit card by calling 1-800-55HUNT5; or online at http://fishandgame.idaho.gov. An additional fee is charged for telephone and Internet applications. Hunters must have a 2012 Idaho hunting license to apply.

Oklahoma Controlled Hunts Application Online Now

The Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation's popular controlled hunts program is open to online applicants now.

The controlled hunts program offers once-in-a-lifetime elk and antelope hunts, highly sought-after buck hunts, and a range of other quality deer and turkey hunting opportunities through randomized drawings that only cost sportsmen $5 to enter. Opportunities offered through the program include hunts on Department or other government-owned or managed lands where unrestricted hunting would pose safety concerns or where overharvest might occur.

Arizona's Hunters’ Passion for Draw Results Overwhelms Website; Results Now Available

The Arizona Game and Fish Department’s online hunt draw system website, hosted by an outside vendor, became unavailable from Monday afternoon through early Tuesday morning as thousands of hopeful hunters tried to log on and learn whether their applications had been drawn for the upcoming elk and pronghorn antelope season.

Arizona Elk/pronghorn Draw Results to be Available in the Next 1-2 Weeks

It’s the time of year when many constituents ask the Arizona Game and Fish Department when the results for the pronghorn antelope and elk hunt draw will be released.

The department anticipates that the 2012 results will be available sometime in the next one to two weeks, but there is no set date at this point.

For those who applied using the online service, the process of charging the credit cards of successful applicants will begin tomorrow. This process will take several days to complete.

Colorado's Big Game Application Deadline Draws Near

With the April 3 big-game application deadline drawing near, Colorado Parks and Wildlife is reminding hunters that the agency offers a wealth of information and planning resources to assist them in making their license application selections.

From CPW's website resources and secure license application portal to video tutorials and hunt planners manning the agency's call center, hunters have at their fingertips all the resources they need to plan their hunt, said CPW director Rick Cables.

Idaho F&G Commission Sets 2012 Big Game Seasons

The Idaho Fish and Game Commission during a meeting Thursday, March 22, set big game seasons for 2012.

The commissioners adopted Fish and Game staff recommendations for this fall's deer, elk, pronghorn, black bear, gray wolf and mountain lion hunts, and added a few changes of their own.
