ODFW's Access and Habitat Program and the C2 Ranch are offering 37 hunters the chance to hunt deer or elk on the ranch’s 9,500-acre property near Medford this fall.

Hunters can apply for one of the following hunts:

  • Early season archery deer, season Aug. 27 – Sept. 25 (two hunters to be drawn for two-day hunt)
  • Late season archery deer, season Nov. 12 – Dec. 4 (two hunters to be drawn for two-day hunt)
  • Youth deer hunt, season Dec. 17 – Jan. 2 (28 youth hunters to be drawn for one-day hunt with guide provided; applicants must have 630T Rogue Youth Deer Tag)
  • Youth antlerless elk, Dec. 18 – 23 (five youth hunters to be drawn for one-day hunt with guide provided; applicants must have 230T1 or 230T2 Youth Elk Tag)

Applications are available online at A&H's Hunting Opportunities webpage and can be emailed, faxed or mailed (see directions on application).

Applications must be received by 5 p.m. Aug. 17, 2011. It is free to apply and free to hunt on the C2 Ranch for the hunters that win the opportunity. All winners are still responsible for purchasing a hunting license and the appropriate deer or elk tag.

The winners will be drawn at the Rogue Valley Chapter Oregon Hunters Association Board meeting in Medford on Aug. 18.

The A&H Program funds projects that provide hunter access and/or improve wildlife habitat on private land in Oregon. The A&H Program is funded primarily by a $4 surcharge on hunting licenses, big game auction and raffle tag sales.
