Kansas Firearm Antelope Application Deadline is June 8 The Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism (KDWPT) is accepting applications for the resident firearm and muzzleloader antelope permit drawing. Applications may be submitted online through the KDWPT website, ksoutdoors.com. Click “License/Permits” in the upper right-hand corner of the page to begin the process. West Virginia Early Antlerless Deer Archery and Muzzleloader Seasons Open in September The special antlerless archery and antlerless muzzleloader seasons will open in September on private land only in select counties throughout the state, according to the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources (DNR). The early archery season opens September 12, 2011, and closes September 17, 2011. The early muzzleloader season opens September 19, 2011 and closes September 24, 2011. To participate in either of these seasons, hunters need to be aware of the following regulations. |

South Dakota Elk, Bighorn and Deer Seasons Finalized The South Dakota Game Fish and Parks Commission has finalized the 2011 Elk Hunting Seasons. The Archery Elk Season will have 89 "any elk" and 37 "antlerless elk" licenses this year. The Black Hills Firearm Elk Season will have 470 "any elk" and 395 "antlerless elk" licenses in 2011. The Firearm Prairie Elk Season will have 49 "any elk" and 79 "antlerless elk" this year. |

Vermont's 2011 White-tail Deer Seasons Confirmed The Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department announces that dates for the 2011 white-tailed deer hunting seasons have been confirmed. Dates for archery and muzzleloader seasons were intentionally omitted from the 2011 Vermont Hunting, Fishing & Trapping Laws and Guide because the Vermont Fish & Wildlife Board was considering adding an additional October muzzleloader and archery seasons at the time the guide was being printed. The Board voted not to implement any season changes. |
