Oregon Deer Draw Complete - Results Online

Hunters that applied for a 2011 fall controlled hunt can find out if they drew the tag online at ODFW's My Hunter Information page.

Nevada Leftover Big Game Tags Available
As many hunters already know, the Nevada Department of Wildlife has posted Nevada's big game tag draw results on their website. Official results and tags were mailed to addresses on record by June 13.

You won't have to juggle a printed guidebook and a website when you apply for a cow elk, doe deer or doe pronghorn hunting permit for this fall's hunts.

Idaho Reduces Deer Tags

Updated Idaho Fish and Game information on mule deer population status and over-winter survival shows high fawn mortality in some areas of southern Idaho.

Overall, over-winter fawn survival among 15 study areas is the lowest since we began monitoring; 69 percent of radio-collared fawns had died by April 30. Mule deer fawn survival was lowest in the McCall-Weiser, at 9 percent, and the Island Park, at 18 percent, areas.

Nevada Reduces Mule Deer Tags

Despite excellent game surveys, good precipitation and increasing populations of deer, the Nevada Board of Wildlife Commission voted to reduce the allocation of mule deer buck tags statewide at its May 14 meeting in Reno.

Utah's 2011 Antlerless Guidebook Available Online May 24th

f you want to hunt cow elk, doe deer or doe pronghorn this fall—and you've been trying to find a copy of the 2011 Antlerless Guidebook — you can stop looking.

A printed copy of the guidebook won't be available this year.

Montana Special License Application Deadline - June 1st

The deadline to apply for FWP's special license drawings for elk, deer and antelope licenses is June 1.

Idaho's Application Period for Fall Controlled Hunts Opened May 1

The application period for this fall's deer, elk, pronghorn, fall black bear and fall turkey controlled hunts started Sunday, May 1 and runs through June 5.

Fish and Game may ask the Idaho Fish and Game Commission, during the May 19 meeting, to reduce the number of available controlled hunt deer tags in some areas that have suffered higher than normal over-winter losses.

Fish and Game biologists plan to recommend that the commission reduce the number of controlled hunt deer tags available in antlerless and either-sex controlled deer hunts in:

Colorado DOW Seeks Input on Boulder Area Deer Herd

The Colorado Division of Wildlife is seeking input on the Boulder area deer herd which inhabits Game Management Units 29 and 38 in parts of Clear Creek, Gilpin, Jefferson and Boulder counties.  This herd lives in an area where outdoor recreation on public lands is quite substantial and hunting is limited to certain open space areas by permit.

Washington Special Hunt Permits Application Deadline May 18th

Hunters have through May 18 to apply for special hunting permits for fall deer, elk, mountain goat, moose, bighorn sheep, and turkey seasons in Washington state.

Permit winners will be selected by random drawing conducted by the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) in late June. The special permits qualify hunters to hunt at times and places beyond those authorized by a general hunting license.
