Mountain Lion Management Meetings Set
The Colorado Division of Wildlife (DOW) has scheduled another round of scoping meetings to gather input for mountain lion management plans.
The meetings are May 26 in Colorado Springs at the DOW office at 4255 Sinton Road; May 28 at the Salida Senior Citizens Center, 305 F Street, in Salida; June 2 at the Bureau of Land Management Office, 3170 E. Main, in Canon City; and June 3 at the Community Center in Hartsel.
All meetings are from 6-9 p.m.
The meetings will be in the “open house” format, enabling the public to arrive at any time during the three-hour period. DOW personnel will be available to answer questions and meet with participants who want to weigh-in with their viewpoints. Written comments are also encouraged.
Wildlife managers will provide information about Colorado’s mountain lion population estimates and provide background about mountain lion management in the state.
