Game, Fish and Parks officials are reminding South Dakota hunters and anglers that their 2003 South Dakota hunting and fishing licenses are valid through Jan. 31, 2004, contingent upon seasons dates.

"One exception would be for nonresident waterfowl, which expire at the end of the last day of the waterfowl season," said Licensing Administrator Al Jockheck.

Sportsmen are also reminded that they can get a jump on hunting and fishing for the next year, as some licenses for 2004 are available online at, at the department license office in Pierre and at several license agents across the state. License agents are accessed online by visiting and clicking on the link "hunting."

As before, the new licenses will have an extended expiration date. The new 2004 resident licenses will be valid beginning Dec. 15, 2003 and will remain valid through Jan. 31, 2005.
