Mississippi hunters and wildlife management area users, now is the time to provide your input on statewide hunting seasons and bag limits, as well as on regulations for all of Mississippi's 50 wildlife management areas.

The Commission on Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks recently passed Public Notices of Proposed Rules for deer, turkey, alligator, and small game seasons and bag limits. The Commission also passed proposed rules for the regulations on each of the wildlife management areas. These Public Notices of Proposed Rules can be viewed on the MDWFP website, www.mdwfp.com Look on the homepage for "2011-2012 Public Notices of Proposed Rules".

All of these proposed rules will be open for public comment through May 1. Instructions on how and where to properly provide your comments are located at the end of each proposed rule document. The MDWFP looks forward to hearing from Mississippians who are concerned about our state's wildlife resources and public lands.
