Moose Hunt Application Deadline
Hunters are reminded that the application deadline for the 2004 Minnesota moose hunt is Friday, June 18. Applications may be made from any of the 1,800 statewide Electronic Licensing System (ELS) vendors or from the Department of Natural Resources License Center, 500 Lafayette Road, St. Paul.
DNR Investigating Report of Dead Deer
The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is investigating a report of several dead deer being found in a small area near the Becker-Otter Tail County line east of Frazee. Most of these deer were found in one field during normal spring farm work over the past month and a half.
DNR will be Giving Away Free Gunlocks
An estimated 40,000 cable-style gunlocks, along with information about gun safety, will be given away free by Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) conservation officers, thanks to a federal grant by a firearms industry group.

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is accepting applications for the 2004 Minnesota black bear hunting season. This year, 16,450 licenses will be available in 11 permit areas in northern and central Minnesota. The deadline for bear applications is Friday, May 7.

MDNR Seeks Public Comments on 2004 Hunting and Trapping Regulations
"The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources will conduct a series of meetings around Minnesota in early March to take public comments and recommendations about hunting and trapping season regulations," according to Ed Boggess the assistant chief of the DNR Section of Wildlife.
