An additional, late antlerless elk season has been added for Custer State Park’s (CSP) 2003 unsuccessful elk applicants. The additional season is Jan. 3-18, 2004, with 30 tags available.

"Tags will be allocated to an alternate list of unsuccessful applicants from the earlier drawings," said Custer State Park Wildlife Biologist Gary Brundige. "Therefore, we already have the names from which to draw, and applications will not be accepted."

Brundige added that accepting a tag for the additional January hunt will count as a successful, first-choice draw and affect a person’s eligibility for CSP antlerless elk.
