2002 Quota Bull Elk Hunt Concludes As Big Success
Six hunters tagged out within a 24-hour period during Kentucky's second bull elk quota hunt of modern times. The hunt was held October 5-6 at Addington Wildlife Management Area near Hazard, Kentucky.

Fall Hunting Season Guide Available
The 2002-03 Fall Hunting Season Guide is now available from license vendors throughout the state. This publication contains all fall hunting season dates and regulations, except for late-season waterfowl hunting. The 2002 Dove, Wood Duck & Teal Season Guide is also available from most license outlets.
2002 Elk Quota Hunts
Ten lucky hunters' names were randomly drawn in Hazard, Kentucky, Saturday afternoon to determine who will participate in the 2002 Elk Quota Hunts this fall. Several hundred people were on hand for the drawing conducted by the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources (KDFWR) at the Hazard National Guard Armory. Officials with the Kentucky State Auditor's office monitored the drawing.
2002-03 Elk Draw Permits
Persons who wish to apply for a 2002 Elk Quota Hunt must do so by buying an Elk Draw Permit. If drawn, no other permit costs will be involved. Hunters will be selected by random drawing. Hunters must comply with all applicable laws and regulations. A person cannot apply more than one time. The permit will be sold until 5/31/2002. You can apply here.
