Hunters who had a 2003 Vermont hunting license will find it easier than ever before to purchase their Vermont hunting licenses this year. The licenses are available from the Vermont Fish & Wildlife Department's license website (www.vtfwdsales.com).

To purchase new Vermont hunting, archery, and muzzleloader licenses online, you must enter last year's license numbers when filling out the online application. It is possible to purchase archery and muzzleloader licenses at the same time you purchase your hunting license. If you already have your hunting license, you need to purchase your archery or muzzleloader license from any local license agent.

Since Vermont hunting and fishing licenses were made available online June 1, more than 2,600 licenses have been purchased with a value of over $72,000.

"It's almost an even split between residents and nonresidents buying licenses online," said Sue Nadeau, special assistant to the Commissioner. "It's quick, it's easy and it's convenient."
