Addressing proposed changes to the scientific and educational permit regulation and receiving updates on chronic wasting disease surveillance and the black-footed ferret program highlight the Jan. 27-28 Game and Fish Commission meeting in Cheyenne.

The commission will also receive overviews on sage grouse seasons and the G&F’s conservation education program.

Other topics to be presented to the seven-member board:

-- research on the impacts of oil and gas exploration on mule deer

-- grizzly bear occupancy proposal

-- Governor’s Brucellosis Coordination Team

At 11:40 a.m. Jan. 28, public comments will be accepted on topics not on the agenda. Feedback on agenda items will be accepted following each presentation if time permits. Attendees are encouraged to arrive before scheduled times in case the agenda is ahead of schedule.

The meeting begins at 9 a.m. each day at the Hitching Post Inn, 1700 West Lincolnway in Cheyenne.
