Game Commission to Consider Changes to Valles Caldera Elk License Process

The State Game Commission will meet in a special session scheduled 9 a.m. Nov. 13 at the Albuquerque Game and Fish office, 3841 Midway Place NE to consider amending the Valles Caldera elk license allocation and drawing rules.

The Commission will consider allocating all elk licenses on the Valles Caldera National Preserve through the public draw, incorporating the non-resident and resident quotas and requiring applicants to obtain an access agreement before applying. A proposal requiring that social security numbers be included on all license applications also will be considered by the Commission.
