Florida FWC Offers Hunters Safety in Leon County
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) is offering a free hunter safety course in Leon County.
The course will be conducted in the second-floor conference room of the Farris Bryant Building, 620 S. Meridian St., Tallahassee. Instruction is from 6 to 9 p.m. July 12, 14, 19 and 21. The range portion of the class is July 23. Attendance is required on all class dates and for the range portion.
An adult must accompany children under the age of 16 at all times. Students should bring a pencil and paper with them to take notes.
People born on or after June 1, 1975, must successfully complete an approved hunter safety course before they can purchase a Florida hunting license. The FWC course satisfies hunter safety training requirements for all other states and Canadian provinces.
