Effective today, emergency fire restrictions have been lifted from Department owned and operated lands. Because of recent summer rains, fire restrictions have been raised. The prohibitions against open fires were set earlier this summer because of extreme fire danger.

The E.S. Barker Wildlife Area and Burns Canyon Lake are now open to normal use.

Be aware that all permanent posted restrictions on Department properties, such as those relating to travel, camping and other fire restrictions, still remain in effect.
