Fall Turkey Licenses Still Available in Wyoming
The drawing for fall turkey licenses was held Aug. 23 and licenses are leftover in all limited quota areas and will be available first-come, first-served to residents and nonresidents Sept. 15.
There are 229 licenses in area 2 (Laramie Peak) type 1, 125 for area 2 type 2, five licenses in area 4 (Goshen County and Platte County east of Interstate 25), 12 licenses in eastern Laramie County (area 8) and 175 in area 9, Natrona County.
The remaining licenses will be available at the Wyoming Game and Fish Department’s Cheyenne office and selected license agents.
General turkey licenses, allowing holders to hunt in areas 1, 3, 5, 7, 11 and 14, can be bought over the counter. Beginning Sept. 15, general licenses will be available from selected license agents in Campbell, Converse, Crook, Johnson, Niobrara, Sheridan and Weston counties and Game and Fish offices in Cheyenne, Sheridan and Casper.
Turkey licenses are $13 for residents and $61 for nonresidents. Hunters can only purchase one license.
