Draw Results for Arizona's 2012 Elk, Pronghorn Hunts Now Available

The drawing results for Arizona’s 2012 elk and pronghorn antelope big game hunts are now available online and scrolling down to the “View results and bonus points” link, or by visiting the GFD website and clicking on the link to the draw results page.

Montana Hunting Permit Drawing Results Available Soon

With the new March 15 deadline to apply for 2012 deer and elk hunting permits, comes the wait for the drawing results.

"Hunters' anxious to hear if they drew a deer or elk permit will know the drawing results the week of April 16," said Ron Aasheim, Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks spokesperson."These will be the first big game hunting permit drawing results of the year."

Washington Commission will Consider Adopting New Hunting Rules

The Washington Fish and Wildlife Commission is scheduled to take action on more than a dozen proposed changes in hunting rules for the 2012-14 seasons at a public meeting April 13-14 in Olympia.

New rules proposed for adoption range from allowing waterfowl hunters to use electronic decoys to one that would add a day to western Washington elk seasons.

Application Period for Tennessee’s Fourth Elk Hunt to be Held April 1-May 31, 2012

Arizona Elk/pronghorn Draw Results to be Available in the Next 1-2 Weeks

It’s the time of year when many constituents ask the Arizona Game and Fish Department when the results for the pronghorn antelope and elk hunt draw will be released.

The department anticipates that the 2012 results will be available sometime in the next one to two weeks, but there is no set date at this point.

For those who applied using the online service, the process of charging the credit cards of successful applicants will begin tomorrow. This process will take several days to complete.

Colorado's Big Game Application Deadline Draws Near

With the April 3 big-game application deadline drawing near, Colorado Parks and Wildlife is reminding hunters that the agency offers a wealth of information and planning resources to assist them in making their license application selections.

From CPW's website resources and secure license application portal to video tutorials and hunt planners manning the agency's call center, hunters have at their fingertips all the resources they need to plan their hunt, said CPW director Rick Cables.

Idaho F&G Commission Sets 2012 Big Game Seasons

The Idaho Fish and Game Commission during a meeting Thursday, March 22, set big game seasons for 2012.

The commissioners adopted Fish and Game staff recommendations for this fall's deer, elk, pronghorn, black bear, gray wolf and mountain lion hunts, and added a few changes of their own.

New Mexico Hunters: Don't Miss March 28 Online License Application Deadline

Hunters who need help applying online for New Mexico big-game hunting licenses before the March 28 application deadline can get it either on the telephone or by attending one of several computer-assisted sessions at various communities this weekend.

This year, the Department of Game and Fish eliminated paper application forms in favor of a paperless online system designed to streamline the application and licensing process and make drawing results and refunds available much sooner.

Time to Enter Idaho's Super Hunt Drawing

The deadline to enter the first Super Hunt drawing is May 31.

With every entry in Fish and Game's Super Hunt drawings, hunters get a chance at winning the hunt of a lifetime, and their entry fee helps support hunter and angler access to and across private lands.

The first drawing in June will pick 26 lucky hunters, each of whom will win one of 25 tags - eight elk, eight deer, and eight pronghorn hunts as well as one moose hunt; and one "Super Hunt Combo" entry also will be drawn that will entitle the winner to hunt for one each elk, deer, pronghorn and moose.
