Looking for the latest tips and strategies for successful turkey hunting? Want to hear about updates on laws and regulations? Have questions about the sport? Then plan on attending one of several preseason clinics the DNR is offering this spring throughout Minnesota.

Expert hunters have stated that wild turkey hunting requires special skills - different skills from deer hunting. These clinics have been organized by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources to provide hunters with an in-depth look at the wild turkey in Minnesota.

Although the clinics are not mandatory, the DNR encourages and recommends that hunters attend one. A $5 fee is charged (unless otherwise stated). An up-to-date Turkey Hunters Handbook will be available at the clinics for paid participants. This updated handbook has the latest information and now includes a section on archery hunting of turkeys and fall hunting of turkeys in Minnesota. There is no age restriction for attending a clinic.
