Delaware Deer CWD Free
Testing of more than 600 brain and lymph node tissue samples from white-tailed deer in all three counties of Delaware showed no evidence of chronic wasting disease (CWD), the Delaware Division of Fish and Wildlife announced.
Delaware 2006 Deer Season Great Success
During the 2006-2007 deer season, Delaware hunters met with great success, bagging 14,401 deer, the second highest number in state history. The total harvest was 268 deer short of tying the all-time harvest record of 14,669 set during the 2004-2005 season.
Delaware Hunting Season Ends With Mulitple Arrests
The 2006-2007 hunting season wound down with Fish and Wildlife Enforcement agents in Sussex County making multiple arrests involving 15 defendants and 27 charges between Dec. 11, 2006 and Jan. 22, 2007. The season officially ended Saturday, Jan. 27.
Delaware to Offer Whitetail Deer School
Hunters, outdoor enthusiasts and wildlife buffs, take note: the Delaware Division of Fish and Wildlife will host an advanced Whitetail Deer School from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 28 in the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control Auditorium, Richardson & Robbins Building, 89 Kings Highway, Dover.
