The Alaska Board of Game calls for proposed changes in the regulations pertaining to hunting, trapping, and the use of game for the following regions:

  • Southeast Region (Game Management Units 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5)
  • Southcentral Region (Game Management Units 6, 7, 8, 14C, and 15)
  • Central/Southwest Region (Game Management Units 9, 10, 11, 13, 14A, 14B, 15, 16 & 17)

The proposal deadline is 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, 2012, for all proposals. This is a change from previous years when the Board of Game had multiple proposal deadlines throughout the meeting cycle. The public is encouraged to submit proposals online.

Proposals can also be submitted on proposal forms which are available at the Boards Support Section regional offices and on the website. Currently, we are unable to accept submission of proposals via email. We are working with our information technology section and hope to be able to offer this option soon. Proposals that are not submitted online can be faxed or mailed to:

ADF&G, Boards Support Section
P.O. Box 115526
Juneau, AK 99811-5526
Fax: (907) 465-6094

Proposed regulatory changes must fit within the boards’ Call for Proposals. Proposals received by the deadline will be considered by the Board of Game during the 2012-2013 meeting schedule. The Call for Proposals and the meeting schedule are available on the Board of Game website.

Printed proposal books will be available to interested persons in August 2012.
