The Colorado Division of Wildlife in Grand Junction is looking for information leading to the identification of the person or persons who illegally killed two pronghorn antelope and dumped them in the Orchard Mesa area of Grand Junction.

The abandoned pronghorn carcasses were discovered Tuesday morning, April 12 after a person driving by saw a blue tarp laying in the southwest corner of 30 1/2 and B 1/2 Roads.

Wildlife officers say the pronghorn were likely shot in another location and then dumped in this area. After interviewing people who live near this location, Division officers estimate that they were dumped between 10:30 p.m. April 11 and 8 a.m. April 12.

The DOW is asking any member of the public who might have information concerning this incident, or were in the area and might have observed something suspicious that could help identify those responsible for these crimes, to contact the Division of Wildlife or Operation Game Thief. This could include information about any vehicles, persons or activity that may have been seen in this area.

Operation Game Thief is offering a $1000 reward for information that leads to an arrest in this case. Callers can remain anonymous by calling toll free, 1-877-265-6648.

I hope the authorities can

I hope the authorities can catch these criminals. Nothing makes me more mad than to hear about poaching cases. These idots are not hunters by any means, even if tehy hunt they are criminals and need to be fined and locked up for an extended peiod of time and have hunting privaliges revoked. I was haveing a talk with a friend and we talked about with the economy the way it is the amount of poaching cases will go up with people trying to feed there families, Although i feel for those people I dont agree with there methods, there are other ways to get food and assistance. Godd luck with catching these people.

Stuff lie this just pisses me

Stuff lie this just pisses me off.  Alot of us work very hard o wait for years so we are able to get enough points to be able to hunt a specfic animal.  I just cannot figure out wat brings people to have to act like this.  If they are hunters the make a ook so bad that they gie all the actvists anther reason to bash the hunting industry.  I always hate it when they refer to poachers as hunters, beause they are not even close to being call a true hunter or conservationist.  I hope they catch the scum bag and throw the book at him.  They need to start locking them up and finng the ou know what out of them.
