CCI® now offers a load specifically for AR-style rifles-new .22 Long Rifle AR-Tactical. Shooters can find these accurate and affordable bullets on store shelves now.

Consistent Performance
These new rounds are built to CCI's high standards. AR-Tactical bullets offer excellent accuracy--including 1.5 inches at 100 yards for 10-shot groups in factory testing. Testing also was conducted specifically for common law enforcement and military Smith & Wesson M&P 15/22 firearms. This testing confirmed the performance that tactical users require.

Optimized Design
A CCI case, primer and bullet lube combine with clean-burning powder to provide tactical-grade performance. The 40-grain rounds are a target bullet with a copper-plated round nose (CPRN) for smooth feeding. Tactical shooters can blast through an entire magazine without worrying of a glitch in feeding or on-target performance. A speed of 1200 fps allows for excellent accuracy with low recoil.

"These new .22 Long Rifle AR-Tactical rounds are a great value to all shooters," said Brand Director Rick Stoeckel. "Our rigorous testing came back with impressive results, showing that these guns like a heavier bullet with a relatively low muzzle velocity. Now we are ready to meet the rising demand of AR-style shooters."

AR-Tactical is available in 375-count loose packed, re-closeable boxes. To learn more about the new rounds and the entire CCI lineup, visit www.CCI-ammunition.com

I'm sure that this ammunition will work just fine.

Hunter 25: ‘tactical’ is definitely getting a little overused lately!

CCI is a good company with a  long history of fine products so I'm sure that this ammunition will work just fine.

CCI must think that they have a market for this product of they wouldn’t have made it.  It seems like over kill to me.  I would expect this 22 long rifle ammunition to perform well in just about any AR style rifle chambered for it, but I would also expect just about ANY 22 long rifle ammunition to perform just as well in any decent AR style rifle.  Shooters will soon let them know if they feel that the ammunition designated as specifically designed for AR style rifles will justify what surely will be added cost over other standard 22 long rifle ammunition for routine plinking.

Okay I'm thinking that the

Okay I'm thinking that the tactical word is getting a little overused now. I have no complaints with CCI and consider them the finest rimfire bullets made and buy a lot of mini mags for my guns as they have always worked the best with great accuracy. I guess I'll check these out to see how the price is and buy some if they are cheaper to see if the reputation holds up.

Tactical is a mindset not something you can buy to nmake things better so I just get a kick out of how popular the word has gotten for marketing these days.
