Application Grace Period Ends on May 27
Mark May 27 in big bold letters on your day planner: That's the last day in the grace period for the big game hunt application process this year.
If you apply before May 27 and make a mistake on your application form (and put your telephone number on the application), the Arizona Game and Fish Department will attempt to call and let you correct the error. Hint: There are a lot of changes this year. This is the year to take advantage of the grace period and apply before it ends.
Don't forget that you are required to have a license when applying this year and the department is NOT accepting applications online. If you are applying for multiple species, it's a good idea to buy your license ahead of time rather than having to put the license fee into the application for each species.
Keep in mind when buying a license that this is turning into a standout year for fishing in Arizona: Get a combination license and maximize your enjoyment afield.
Remember, deadline day for the fall draw is June 14, 7 p.m. (MST). For more information on this year's draw changes, visit azgfd.gov/draw.
