The first winner in the Texas Big Game Awards (TBGA) program for the 2003 hunting season has been selected for the "Early Entry Special Program" drawing for the month of October. The winner is Ralph Donaho from Kent who harvested a pronghorn antelope from Hudspeth County with a gross Boone and Crockett score of 83 inches.

Donaho will receive a U’SCORE’M scoring kit from Universal Scoring Products, a Texas Big Game Awards Texas Regional Sponsor.

For more than 12 years, the Texas Big Game Awards has been recognizing the contributions landowners, land managers and responsible hunters make to managing and conserving wildlife and wildlife habitat on Texas’ private and public lands.

Although the TBGA program does not offer prizes for entries, this year it is continuing its "Early Entry Special" program, which allows hunters who mail in their entry form and photo (for promotional use) to automatically be entered in a drawing for prizes.

If you harvest a white-tailed deer, mule deer, or pronghorn antelope this season, enter the TBGA today. For more information, visit (http://www.TexasBigGameAwards.com/) or call the Texas Wildlife Association at (800) 839-9453, Ext.114.
