BigGameHunt.net Grand Slam Challenge Official Contest Rules
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. THE CONTEST MAY NOT BE USED FOR ANY FORM OF GAMBLING. Participation constitutes entrant's full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Contest Rules. Contest is sponsored by RiderWeb Incorporated, 3440 Essex Ct., Craig CO 81625 ("Sponsor").
Duration and Rounds: The "BigGameHunt.net Grand Slam Challenge" ("Contest") is composed of five rounds of one month duration. ("Contest Period"). Round 1 will begin at 00:00 July 1, 2010 EST and end at 23:59 July 31, 2010 EST. Round 2 will begin at 00:00 August 1, 2010 EST and end 23:59 August 31, 2010 EST. Round 3 will begin at 00:00 September 1, 2010 EST and end 23:59 September 30, 2010 EST. Round 4 will begin at 00:00 October 1, 2010 EST and end 23:59 October 31, 2010 EST. Round 5 will begin at 00:00 November 1, 2010 EST and end 23:59 November 30, 2010 EST. Round 6 will begin at 00:00 December 1, 2010 EST and end 23:59 December 31, 2010 EST. Duration of each round may be adjusted in the event of a tie as determined by Determination of Potential Winners.
Eligibility: Contest is open to all natural persons age 18 and older who are legal residents of the 50 U.S. states and Canada only where such contests are not prohibited by law for the duration of the Contest. Employees, officers and directors of Sponsor, its parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, promotion, and fulfillment agencies, their immediate family members and persons living in their same household, are not eligible to participate in the Contest. Void where prohibited. All federal, provincial, state, and local laws and regulations apply. Canadian Residents are not eligible for some prizes if they should be deemed a potential winner. If you reside in Canada, you are ineligible to win any firearms or rifle scope related prizes. (Added effective 23:59 July 31, 2010 EST.) If a Canadian wins an item that is not-exportable (firearm or rifle scope), we will give the next place down (that is not Canadian) and that wins an exportable prize the opportunity to switch prizes. If this winner agrees then a prize switch will be commenced. For example, if a Canadian takes second place which has a rifle scope prize and the next prize down is a U.S. citizen that wishes to switch prizes, we will honor the prize swap.
CONTEST OF SKILL: This Contest is a contest of skill. Winners are determined by the objective criteria described in the Offical Rules. From all entries received for each Contest, winners are determined by the individuals who use their skill and knowledge of big game hunting information and the Official Rules to accumulate the most points according to the corresponding scoring rules.
How to Enter: You (Entrant) will be automatically entered into the contest by registering an account on BigGamehunt.net. Entrant may only enter the Contest once, do not use different or multiple email accounts to enter more than once. The use of any automated launching or entry software or any other means that permits the entrant to automatically enter repeatedly or in excess of the entry limitations is prohibited. Only entries received during the Duration and Rounds will be accepted. The authorized account holder of the email address used on the online form to enter will be deemed to be the entrant for entries via the online entry form. The "authorized account holder" is deemed the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, service provider or other online organization that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. The potential winner may be required to show proof that they are the authorized account holder or the entrant.
Judging: Content for which Points are awarded must be original, not in the public domain, factually accurate, and must not infringe or violate any law or the legal or equitable right of any person or entity, nor contain material that infringes or violates any personal property rights of others or that constitutes defamation, invasion of privacy, an infringement of the intellectual property rights of any third person, or is otherwise unlawful. By submitting Content, each participant acknowledges his or her understanding of and compliance with these rules. The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entry deemed inappropriate for publication, at their discretion. Content will be judged by groups consisting of qualified Sponsor employees. The decisions of the judges will be final. Content will be judged on the following criteria: (1) effectiveness, insightfulness, creativity, and completeness. (2) organization and development of the ideas expressed, with clear and appropriate examples to support them; and (3) consistency in the use of language, variety in sentence structure and range of vocabulary, use of proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
Content: An Entrant submits writing and photos to BigGameHunt.net to be judged. Writing can be in the form of forum discussion topics, submitted stories, answering forum questions, submitting hunting tips. Photos can be related to a photo gallery, a profile picture, or as a part of a story or forum topic.
Scoring and Points:
Positive Points will be awarded to Entrants for the following actions:
Note that simply submitting content is not enough to be awarded points. Content must be judged based on the criteria listed in Judging. If submitted content does not meet or violates judging criteria, the content will be deleted and no points awarded. Furthermore points that have been awarded can be revoked based on the judging criteria.
Entrants will receive negative points for the following actions:
At the beginning of each round, each existing Entrant will start with 300 points. At the end of each round all points will be cleared from the previous round. There is no limit to the points that can be earned in total. Points are not transferable or redeemable. Cancelling an account will have the same effect as deleting an account and all points will be lost. At the end of the fifth and final round and determination of winners is complete, all points will be deleted. The sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to change, add, or remove Scoring and Points in-between rounds in the interest of keeping the Contest fair and interesting.
Prizes by month:
Limitations of Prizes: Sponsor makes no warranties with regard to any prize. No cash or other substitution is permitted, except as provided herein at the Sponsor's sole discretion. Prize is nontransferable, unless otherwise specifically approved by Sponsor in writing. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute any listed prize for one of equal or greater value if the designated prize should become unavailable for any reason. The color and exact specifications of prizes will be determined by Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion. The winner is solely responsible for all applicable taxes, fees and surcharges associated with prize receipt and/or use.
Determination of Potential Winners: Winning Entrants will be chosen based on highest point value obtained. Each round has prizes ranked 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, etc. The 1st prize shall be awarded to the Entrant who obtained the highest level of points, 2nd prize shall be awarded to the Entrant that obtained, the second highest level of points, 3rd prize shall be awarded to the Entrant that obtained the third highest point level, etc until all prizes are exhausted.
In the event of a tie, the contest period shall be extend an additional 24 hour period until the tie is broken. If after the 24 hours the tie is not broken, the period will continue additional 24 hours and repeated until the tie is broken.
Verification of Potential Winners: To win a prize, the potential winner must continue to comply with all terms and conditions of these Official Rules. The potential winner will be notified by email within approximately three (3) days following selection of each winner. In order to claim a prize, the potential winner will be required to sign and return to Sponsor an Affidavit of Eligibility/ Liability & Publicity Release ("Affirmation") within forty-eight (48) hours of the date notice or attempted notice is sent. If a potential winner cannot be contacted, or fails to sign and return the Affirmation within the specified time period, the potential winner is disqualified and forfeits the prize. Sponsor is not obligated to select, or publicly announce, any alternative prize winner in the event of a forfeited or unclaimed prize.
Governing Law: These Rules and this Promotion are governed by and controlled by the laws of the State of Colorado, applicable to contracts made and performed therein without reference to the applicable choice of law provisions. All actions, proceedings or litigation relating hereto will be instituted and prosecuted solely within the State of Colorado, Moffat County. The parties consent to the jurisdiction of the state courts of Colorado and the federal courts located with such state and county with respect to any action, dispute or other matter pertaining to or arising out of this Contest. This Contest is subject to all applicable laws. Void where prohibited.
Winner's List: The winner will be listed online on the Grand Slam Challenge webpage at within approximately ten (10) days following the end of each Round. Individuals may request the names of the winners by submitting a self-addressed, stamped envelope before December 31st 2010 to: RiderWeb Inc, 3440 Essex Ct., Craig CO 81625.
Release: By receipt of any prize, winner agrees to release and hold harmless Sponsor and its subsidiaries, affiliates, suppliers, distributors, advertising/promotion agencies and each such company's officers, directors, employees and agents (collectively, the "Released Parties") from and against any claim or cause of action, including, but not limited to, personal injury, death, or damage to or loss of property, arising out of participation in the Contest or receipt or use or misuse of any prize or participation in any Contest-related activity and for any claims based on publicity rights, defamation or invasion of privacy and merchandise delivery.
Publicity: The winner agrees to allow Sponsor to use his or her name, photograph, likeness, voice, prize information, and biographical information for publicity and promotional purposes without further compensation where permitted by law.
Conditions of Participation: Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, illegible, stolen, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible, misdirected, technically corrupted or garbled Content submissions, which will be disqualified, or for problems of any kind whether mechanical, human or electronic. Proof of submission will not be deemed to be proof of receipt by Sponsor. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend and/or modify the Promotion, or any part of it, if any fraud, technical failures or any other factor beyond Sponsor's reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Contest, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with Sponsor's web site, the entry process or the operation of the Contest or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules or any other promotion or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Any attempt by any person to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest may be a violation of criminal and civil law, and, should such an attempt be made, Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. Sponsor's failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.
