Joe's 2009 Whitetail Hunt

Hi Guys, Just got back from a successful Whitetail hunt in Eastern Colorado on public land. What a great time! Scored a fine specimen of a Whitetail, scored mid 150's. The best part is, I shared it with my son Benjamin. Lot's of pictures, lot's of stories. Contact me if interested.

Damn fine whitetail! And on public property - fantastic! A great brut of a muley buck on your property last year and a mighty fine whitetail from 2009 - great two years of success! And great to have your hunting partner son present again! I'm looking forward to when my son's schedule allows him to return and get back into the woods with me again! You are one lucky Dad! Thanks for sharing the two pictures with us!

That is a great Colorado whitetail ! That is one thing that would be on my list of doing. I have never hunted a whitetail.

Hunting Tip: "Make Your Own" Dominant...

Here is a tip that was passed along to me - and I have not tried it yet - but it looks (and smells) like it will work fine! The gentleman that gave it to me regards it as his secret weapon and he is a VERY successful hunter. Get a fresh tarsal gland off of a decent buck - I think the ranker, the better. Taking them off of bucks that are hot in the rut seem to be the best because that is when the glands are the darkest and have the most "male buck" scent... Take that gland and put it in a good,...
