My 2001 6x6 public land bull

This was my first elk. I was addicted after him to say the least. He has a 43 1/2 outside spread and I think his main beams are around 39 to 40 inches each. He officially scored 282 and change. He had plenty of mass and width but his tine length is what kept his score down. The photo quality is not great because it was taken with a film camera. I will try to scan and post some more of him soon.

Others have offered up a sighting of roughly 2 inches high at 100 yards as a good sighting scheme. In my own experience I have come to favor a sighting of 3.5 inches high at 100 yards.
