Red Top Lookout Tower
On the first of September of 2010, my brother-in-law and I hiked up to the Red Top Lookout tower in the Cascade Mountains of Washington State. We spent three days on fire tower duty. To say the scenery was spectacular would be an understatement. We did a scan for fire and/or smoke every fifteen minutes during the day. Between those times, we were the official welcoming crew for hikers who wanted to visit a fire tower. We are scheduled for duty on the first of September again this year.

Arrowflipper - that had to
Arrowflipper - that had to have been an excellent adventure. Is that a volunteer thing you sign up for in advance? I think that would be a very neat thing to do here and am going to check with our Colorado Parks to see if it is possible to do. Your sunsets and sunrise pictures are awesome. I especially like the shot of Mt Rainier! Thanks for sharing these!
