Moose Hunt
Went on a great moose hunt north of Anchorage. Took my son and we had a fantastic time. Saw a few moose but none that we could harvest. Saw one legal bull but he didn't hang around long enough for a shot. What a fantastic time we had though. We hunted off four wheelers and some of the places we went were incredible. Thank's for sharing a great bunch of pictures from some beautiful country. It looks like maybe an Argo would have gotten through some of that stuff a little bit better than the wheelers did. I have never yet made it to Alaska but have done a ton of research on some different hunts. Sitka blacktail is actually at the top of my list as it usually can be done for a bit less money.
As you photos and quotes show it is the adventure itself and the good times shared with family and friends that make the hunt. Success is great but not the biggest or only part of the experience.
As long as we don't go too many times without anyway.
