Oregon Rio Grande Turkeys

This was a donation Hunt I purchased at the SCI Auction from Western Oregon Outfitters. This is not native range for Rio Grande's, but they were introduced and multiplied like crazy. The majority of this hunt was done around Roseburg. It was a great spring trip that was a lot of fun. Turkeys were everywhere. Main roads, side roads, dirt roads, strip malls, office parking lots and residential neighborhoods. Eric Bunn was our guide and his knowledge of the area and endless supply of laughter made the hunt very special.

Those are some very nice pics, I have a buddy who has some property down near roseburg. And he says there are a ton of birds down there, it just hasnt worked out to hunt down there yet. maybe this year will be the one where everything pans out. Thanks for sharing.

Hunting Tip: Be Unpredictable

Deer hunters spend so much time trying to pattern deer that we forget that we also can be "patterned." After all, most of us hunt the same days and the same hours, so it isn't difficult for deer to figure us out.
