Bolt action all the way. I have not tried a single shot rifle yet but that may be great as well. I'm not big on follow up shots just make the first one count.

With the type of rifle hunting I do. I could go with either a falling block, break action or a bolt action. If for some reason I need a second or third shot. I would prefer a repeater bolt action. The bolt just seems to be inherently more accurate. I'll go with a bolt action.

Bolt action first, single shot like the Ruger #1 second, double rifle next.

To tell you truth i have a love for all guns no matter what they are bolts are the best for stand hunting tho because they are so quiet

bolt action .308 is my rifle of choice. One shot, one kill. I only load one bullet into it when i shoot Yes
