i hope they can help. kenya ( most of whose lions have been poached) is the main instigator of trying to get the african lion moved from cites II (no usfws import permit needed, just a native export permit) to cites I (usfws import and native export permit needed, add $100.00 and just hope you get one) i am trying to nail down a nambia lion hunt later this year and hope it does not get derailed by this. sustainable use is the only way to go. _________________ everyone should hunt africa in their lifetime

Kevin D who are you trying to hunt with in Namibia, and what consession, or ranch? Lion hunts anyplace in Africa today are running at an average of $50K, + airfare, and shipping, and most requireing a 21 day stay @ $1500 per day. The Caprivi strip has some good lion, but are few and far between on license.
lion are in trouble in a lot of their range, and costly where ever you go. Zambia's Luangwa has a good population of lion, and Leopard, and the cost is no higher than any other place for lion. They are going to be expensive no matter where. Tanzania has good lion, but again costly! Probably the cheapest place is Zimbabwe, right now.
I'm sure non e of this is news to youbut may be an eye opener to others who migh be thinking of booking a lion hunt. _________________ ..................Mac >>>===(x)===>

this is more in the nature of a problem lion hunt on a reserve near the kalahari, not a trophy lion hunt. i cannot afford that. i found it on AR and am still working on the details. _________________ everyone should hunt africa in their lifetime
